Peru - Inca Trail to Machu Picchu
The Inca Trail is one of the most well-known trails in Peru, if not the world. While the trail covers over 25 miles in four days, much of it is high-altitude trekking. You’ll cross multiple mountain passes, reaching elevations of almost 14,000 feet. The trail also has over 10,000 Inca stairs. This ancient trekking trail winds through lush jungles, past terraced ruins, and up high passes into the cloud-capped mountains. This trail requires a permit and partnering with a guiding company who are experts in the area.
