Founder & Director
Jared has been on adventures all over the world, mountain biking, climbing, and backpacking, and he is passionate to see transformation happen in the backcountry.
Matt
Alaska Region Leader
Matt is one of the Alaska region leaders. He moved to Montana from the south a few years ago and loves the outdoors, but has not lost his southern accent as of to date.
Erik
Spanish Leader
Erik is from Mexico, loves the outdoors, adventure, and leading PWI Spanish speaking trips, giving many their first experience in the backcountry.
Jack
Technology and Videography
Jack uses his passion for videography and tech to capture the stories and experiences on PWI trips.
Josiah
International Region Leader
Josiah has a passion for languages and the nations, as he grew up overseas, and is learning his 4th language, all of which help on the international trips with PWI!
Gazeman
Montana Region Leader
Gazeman, also known as the mountain goat, loves scaling any cliff, wall, or mountain, as he grew up adventuring with his many siblings. This comes in handy on every PWI trip!
Nick
Wyoming / So. Utah Region Leader
Nick has a background in climbing and is excited at any opportunity to rappel into gulches and train others to do the same in the southern Utah region.
Tanya
Female Trip Leader
Tanya has lived in Africa & Central America, and has a passion to see young women's lives changed. She loves getting to know and interacting with the gals on each backcountry adventure.
Amber
Administration / Logistics
Amber grew up a skier and had to be convinced that the climb is as fun as the adrenaline rush, but it wasn't too hard since PWI adventures to some of the most breathtaking locations in the world!
Claudia
Administration / Logistics
Claudia grew up on the soccer field and that same competitiveness and drive has transitioned well to backcountry trips as she is always up to reach the next mountain peak.
Isaiah
Photography / Videography
Isaiah spent his youth living overseas and has grown to love using photography and videography to capture adventures in all parts of the world and to share the story with others.
Jeremiah
Youth Leader in Training
Jeremiah's favorite excuse to miss school events during the year is, "I have a PWI meeting!" He was made for adventure and helps out on many of the PWI Scout trips to new locations.
Elijah
Montana / Alaska
Elijah grew up with many brothers and sisters. His background in roofing, love for heights, and passion for teaching others has transferred over well to PWI adventures in the northwestern U.S. region.
Gaby
Administration / Design
Gaby spent the first half of her life outside the U.S. and loves the nations. Her design skills along with her love for discipling younger girls, allows her to play a big role behind the scenes and on PWI trips around the world.
Rebecca
Administration / Logistics
Rebecca grew up climbing every mountain around Kalispell and Glacier. Her gymnastics background and love of fishing make her always ready to find the next mountain lake or push a little farther to the peak.
Zermatt
PWI Dog
Zermatt, a bernese mountain dog, joined the PWI family in November 2024. Zermatt loves people, snow, mountain trails, and even visiting the PWI office on special occasions.
