PWI Trips FAQ

Who can apply for a PWI Trip?

Family, friends, or affiliates of Petra Bozeman are eligible to apply for a PWI Trip. Be sure to check dates of trips and age group requirements. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received and applicants will be contacted by PWI Leadership once their application has been reviewed.

What if I have never been backpacking?

Great! That is why PWI provides gear rental through partnerships with some of the best companies in the industry. If you are in physical shape to go on a trip, we have all the gear you need, other than hiking boots which you will be required to have in order to go on a trip.

How do I pay my gear rental fee?

Once accepted on a trip, you pay online on under the Payment Portal or mail checks to PO Box 11610, Bozeman, MT 59719. Please make checks out to PETRA INTERNATIONAL MINISTRIES as PWI is a program of PIM, and include your name and which trip your check is for.

What are other ways to get involved throughout the year?

Petra Wilderness International is based at Petra Bozeman, a bilingual church located in the Gallatin Valley. Being a part of the community throughout the year is a great way to stay connected and to continue to be trained beyond the trip dates, and you will be the first to know about upcoming opportunities!
